Student Assembly – Convocation – Keynote

  • Refuse to Settle:  Many students have trouble believing they can do the unthinkable. This captivating message tells the story of how Tim Bowers grew up less fortunate, labeled an at-risk youth and less likely to make it, to becoming a first-generation college graduate, award-winning author, professional speaker and CEO of his own company.   • Finding Your Purpose: Many students don’t realize a lack of purpose can make their life seem worthless, frustrating and depressing. Specifically, through visual presentation and illustration, this presentation teaches proven success strategies for students to excel in the classroom, establish their academic and personal goals, and prepare for their next grade level transition. Students will learn the process of transitioning from average to awesome academically and personally.

  • Student Leadership Workshop: Leadership is an essential skill all students must learn to thrive in the 21st Century. Through interactive group activities, examples and valuable information, students will learn the following: power of a vision, art of effective communication, self-awareness, I vs. WE mentality, benefits of taking risk and ways to boost self-confidence.

Tim reveals how to bounce back from a setback and stay resilient in the midst of life’s adversity.  

  • Fatherless, But Not Hopeless: Many students suffer from the weight of their father’s decision to not be in their life. This session aims to encourage and uplift fatherless students who battle with resentment, pain and the feeling of abandonment from their father’s absence. Tim’s message is wrapped in transparency revealing his story of being fatherless and how he was still able to persevere. Your fatherless students will leave this presentation with the information on how to use their father’s absence as motivation to change the narrative and still achieve great success.
